ePortfolio through TaskStream
All students
in the program for the online M.S. in Family Studies (OM, for Online Master's)
are required to maintain an account at TaskStream (www.taskstream.com)
from first through final semester.
For
entry tips, see the Family Studies Advising Blackboard (Bb) shell. On
the front page (right side), you will find TaskStream enrollment information.
Also in Bb, click the menu item ePortfolio & TaskStream for current instructions.
You will use TaskStream
for...
- Tracking your
course work in the programs. You will make entries in to the CAT, which
stands for Couse-Embedded Assessment Tracking program.
- Creating your
final product for the M.S. At the end of your program, you will
add a program called the M.S. in Family Studies, or (more colloquially)
"the exit program." This is the space in which you will create your professional
portfolio as your final Master's product.
- Keeping a record
of your courses. One of the entry points in the CAT is for an amendable
list of your courses. The Department uses this list to project enrollments
and plan for class sections. (Your course list in the CAT is in addition
to filing an official degree plan.)
- Sharing your
questions (answers) about TaskStream in a D iscussion Board set up on the platform (rather than having to
leave TaskStream and enter Blackboard).
- Submitting course assignments
in some classes for grading by your instructor. Some professors will direct
you to course-specific programs; others will instruct you to submit your
assignment to the CAT.
