Family Sexuality, a required course in the online Master's in Family Studies at Texas Woman's University, addresses concepts of developmental sexuality including sex education within the family. It is open to both Master's and doctoral students in Family Studies, Child Development, and Early Childhood Education. The course is conducted through the Blackboard web interface and students also receive a course CD that is written by sexuality educators on faculty and published by the Department of Family Sciences. Students have the option of attending an on-campus seminar about three weeks before the start of semester. In the first 100% online version, Drs. Mary Bold and Karen Petty facilitated the course. |
